Why do I see an IQ! symbol on the screen instead of my watch face?

When Garmin crashes, you will see the IQ! symbol on the screen. This means that there was either a programming error in our watch face or a compatibility issue or failure on your Garmin device. Unfortunately, Garmin’s firmware is known to be buggy and sometimes fail. Even watch faces that worked perfectly one day may eventually start failing because Garmin has introduced a new bug in a recent firmware update.

The best way to resolve this is to simply swap to another watch face and then back again. If that doesn’t resolve it, you may be able to explore changing some of the settings on the watch face. For more, see:
