I'm Mike, and I've loved watches since I wore my first Timex Indiglo digital watch at six years old. Since then, I've built deep connections with my watches - the watches I wore during major life events, the watches I bought on special trips, and the watches I was gifted by friends and family.
The problem with smartwatches is that we lose this connection to our wristwatch. We replace our devices every year or so . We use cheap looking watch faces that don't represent us well. They're hugely practical, but smartwatches break that special connection we used to have with analog watches.
I've started this Patreon for those who want to feel a deeper connection with what they wear on their wrist each day. I'm going to provide you with an opportunity to know more about the watch face you choose to wear. Each watch face takes dozens -- sometimes hundreds -- of hours of labor to make. That's thousands of dollars of R&D poured into every face. While I price my watches at a premium in the ConnectIQ store, I'm still selling every one at a huge loss, and I'll never break even. I do it for the passion I feel about beautiful, practical watch faces that tell more than time.
